Too Big????

Ruining one more fishing shirt = $26.00
Stinking up the garage = open the door
Looking like a man who has been digging in a plane toilet (blue hand) = embarrassing
6 Rock Star Sword baits = PRICELESS

Now all we need is this **** wind to stop!!!

BTW, Bouncer says blue is hard for the swords to see. That's all we need, more of a challenge.

You might have a better hook up ratio if ya get those hooks out of the head and in the mantle, Little faster to rig too.

Funny, while half the nation was dying Easter eggs, we're dying squid bait fer swords! LOL!

Great idea for the pre-mades but don't they get a little soft and fall apart easier after freezing? I'd love to try squid jigging at night with green lights and try some fresh - I head the trick was to put them in a bucket before bringing them over the rail or you'll get squid ink all over. What I heard is that these Gulf squid are smaller than ones off Atlantic Florida of California ... be interesting to try livies double hooked in the swimmer flaps on its mantle head. Free-line that bait slowly to 150 or 300 on a small weight. Be careful and use gloves because I heard squid have one heck of a sharp beak on 'em and can munch up crabs ... but I imagine they'd last a while in the live well or squid bucket with an aerator. There again, maybe I just have a fertile imagination?

I rolled them in salt, like brining them, we will see how they hold up, I have heard well. We have always used smaller ones but some on the Fl. side like the big ones. I also have some smaller ones rigged with the hook point out mid body, closer the the mantle, see what has the best hook-up ratio.
