I found a back lake on Google Earth but when I got to the spot this morning there was this sign posted. Is it cool if I go in there and fish or most likely I would get a ticket for trespassing. Was there last week too and ventured a little bit past the sign but I didn't see it that day, and also I saw someone going back there with a small cat type boat
You can navigate, boat and fish in the various refuges. As I understand things, you aren't supposed to go walking around and those marked areas off limits to hunting.
There is an area in the BNWR past the weir at Salt Lake that isn't considered navigable water.
Read navigable water laws for Texas in TPAndW if you want to really get a headache. Lots of litigation about these laws over the years.
Thanks for the info. You're right indaskinny thats the entrance to Essex it's very shallow and lots of oyster
