Eagle Point Bait Camp

Does anyone have an idea if the Bait camp in San Leon at Eagle Point is operational yet? I don't expect the camp to be fully functional but, are they at least letting you launch there?

I have a friend who lives in San Leon. He's going to check the bait camp this evening and let me know tomorrow. He thinks the boat ramp is cleared.

I called Eagle Point a few weeks ago, they are trying to get open by the spring. I asked if I could just launch, they said no. There is a lot of debris including some big rocks were in the water that they need to remove.

I drove by early Saturday morning just to check on things. They are beginning the rebuild process. Really nice to see them get started.

In September they told those of us who keep boats there, and who are expected to keep paying slip fees to hold our spots, that it would be abouot three months.
