boat cover do's and dont's

I just bought a used Sea Hunt 200 and will probably need a boat cover for storage. After looking around, there are a ton (bunch) of makers out there. Wondering what the experience is with different manufacturers. Who to go with and who to avoid. Accessories to get and to avoid. Don't want to spend $500 too many times.

dont drive done the freeway with it on. tried that once and it tore up the cheap one we had

The canvas fitted ones with the elastic bungee around the outside edge go on quickly and dont make noise (such as sitting in your driveway or next to neighbors window). However unlike the plastic tarps, if you get a canvas cover DO NOT let any water puddle up, it will mildew and rot the canvas within a month.
