San Luis Pass, 2/12/05

I went on the Galveston side on the bay side of the Pass yesterday at 2:30 P.M. and the water looked great-clear green with 2' visibility. I managed one 15" flounder on a green tsunami minnow within ten minutes and after that it was a long wade to the drop-off where I got two 15" whiting on dead shrimp. I cast some topwaters before I got to the deeper water and nothing hit. I saw very little signs of bait. Oh well, got something to stink up the skilllet and finally tested out the waders-no leaks!
