Saturday, February 5 Report

Saturday, February 5. Best action was early in the morning over mixed mud and grass patches. A very slow retrieval worked in the lower water column proved best. The bite we experienced was one of short strikes; Norton Sand eel Jr lures crawled across the lower water column produced our trout. The color that fooled our fish, was roach chartreuse. Wind East 10-15, partly cloudy at times cloudy and cold. Water remains in great shape. San Antonio Bay continues to hold plenty of fish, but it's been several days since the bay has given up any trout over 4 pounds. We released the majority of our fish, and kept a few.
