Fished West bay with Capt. Clint "SHOWTIME" Sholmire today. When we started out it was slow and the water was flying out of the bay. We tried a couple of spots then hit pay dirt. We were throwing Roach flats minnows and the new Strike Pro lures. We were fishing in 3 foot of water that was gin clear. Long cast and watching for bait jumping and mud boils were the key today. We had 6 reds by 10 am. We caught and released another 12 reds by 11:30 am and finished the day. If this is not Wackin them then nothing is.... Thank You Clint for another memory.
Glad to hear you had a good trip... Clint's a great guide that teaches you how to find the fish. I've fished with him a couple of times in West Bay, East Bay, and Lower Galveston Bay.
