Sons 1st duck hunt

Took my son on his 1st duck hunt last weekend down in El Campo on Sat & Sunday. After seeing all the birds at the coast all week I thought we would whack them after the front came through Wednesday nite but there were not a lot of birds around. We managed a few. Brian did great in the rain and cold. Met a super nice game warden who came by the camp for cofee and said only the diehards were out--I guess thats one way to put it

1. Coyote shows at the campfire fri nite
2. Bundled up
3. Gotta hide your face to watch them decoy Son
4. Lucy looking for the birds
5. Too high son you have to see their feet for them to be in range
6. 1st duck-blue wing teal

Glad we were at least able to get Brian his first duck. We'll do it again.

I'm not playing cards with that boy any more though!!
