Trinity Bay Alert!

While taking a big risk I was able to obtain this image of the Trinity Bay Potlicking Monster. Often mistaken for floating driftwood the creature's armor provides remarkable camouflage. Seen here creeping from the shallows in search of prey the creature is poised to pounce. Fortunately I was able to get a clear image before beating this beast with my Ugly Stick. This photo is posted as a tip for wadefisherman, potlickers and shell collectors in order that they may be able to avoid such close encounters by keeping their lethal distance from floating objects which may appear as harmless piece driftwood. This beast was last seen up in North Trinity Bay.

Have a Safe and Happy Outdoors Experience on your next fishing trip!

From its looks it could be the infamous "Shoreline Burning Creature".

Chum it up to the TC Dike. There it will be marinaded with empty beer cans and BQ bones. Then grilled to a crispy black.

We 'ran across' his cousin coming out into Clear Lake at 0530 Saturday morning. Fortunately I saw the beast just in time to shut down the motor and slide over it without and damage to the beast or us.

It managed to lick my pot at multiple locations on 10/21. It went to a lot of trouble to hide beneath my bote and scare away every fish that wanted to claim what would on a normal day be a free meal.

His older first cousin was on on the North Side of Hanna's reef yesterday afternoon. He had apparently went off and gotten himself carved into a post and had the gaull to have triangle markers attached. He was travelling horizontal with the triangles barely visible when I came across him at Hanna's.

Kudos for capturing the creature on the shoreline as I never could get a clear shot through the chocolate milk shake water in Galveston Bay.

We weren't that lucky coming back into Sylvan Friday. About a hundred yards from the dock when it hit the motor. Prop looks ok but the motor sounds horrible now. I guess I'll be working on the motor next weekend.

Called Parks and Wildlife and they said it's a catch and release till they figure out how to put a limit on it and if there's a demand possibly a stamp that you can buy if you want to keep one.
