question,,, f150 ad f250
when it rains it pours,,, sons f150(98) windshield wipers croaked out of the blue yesterday/other day. checked some fuses and can't find on under the dash that's blown,,,, help
second,,, f250(02), this morning my A/C was fine(cold),,, lunch I leave and turn it up,,, its warm, blowing good but not cold. any ideas guy/gals,,,, I just hate to take it or both of them in if it's something I can do,,, I can work on stuff but these two seem like I'm fixing to do lots of tracking down.
thanks buds,
Darryl

spout on the wipers ,with a 12v tester first check and make sure you are / not getting power at the motor. it could simply be a relay but could be the motor or switch. a cheap tester from the parts house can save much money.
A/C check for leaks first have you heard any unusual noises when you engage the A/C lately

NO unusual noises! we did pull a cover of a line on the A/C from under the hood,,,, little black cap,,, stuck finger tip in and it seemed wet,,, lid was tight,, could this be a small leak????
And I'll do on the windshield wipers for sure, after this stupid rain again stops!

the system has enough oil in it to stain a good size area under the hood if something failed / blew to make it stop suddenly. it may be a pressure switch just not allowing the comppressor to engage ..have some one flipp the A/C off and on while you look at the comppressor and see if the clutch is engaging.

get a small cooler ( and u know not to drink and drive ) keep ice in it on the floor board ...stick yer foot in it (both while on cruise ) ... actually you may be spending some cash cause you know its never going to quit raining and we use A/C 361 days a year in Texas

Windshield Motor
Hey,
Last year I replaced the windshield motor on my 92 hunting truck.
Man what a job.Thought was going to have to take the whole front end of the truck apart, to get the wiper motor out.
Then had a hard time putting the new motor back in.
Hope the 98 Ford is different,to replace.
