50 Mg ??

I just bought two new 50mg reels, how can I tell if they have the inserts installed without taking them apart??

I dont believe you can... I tried that one time and thought I had gotten one with the insert and it did not have it..

There is a born on date on the box, but not sure if thats for the reel or the box lol

I think Bantam1 said there is no way to tell. Taking them apart is eay though, and you need to know how to do it, to check on that side on occasion. Once you get it apart on the handle side, you don't have to take everything off to see the difference. It's fairly easy to tell.

I guess you have to purchase it then pull it apart and if it doesn't have the plastic you need to send it in so now your out of a new reel for awhile waiting for the shipping and repairs ?Or can you return it to the strore and try again?
