Greens / Freeport
Saturday:
So finally my buddy came back from Hawaii and the first thing he does is upgrade to a bigger jon boat. We got to tagged along with the seller of the boat Cameron (a real nice guy since he toook us along and showed us his fishing holes).
We first hit up the marsh in Greens. we saw some undersize reds crusing and couldn't get anything except for hardheads to bite. Water was really high up in the marsh and bait was probably up more in the grass. We did manage to get lost in the marsh for about an hr.
After that we ventured out to the Cut and fish there for about an hr with 1 undersized speck, 1 croaker, and more hardheads. We got off the water around 12 since my buddy had to leave. But we still had a great time on the water fishing new places. And big thanks to Cameron.
Sunday:
Took some friends fishing near Quintana, caught a nice sheephead, 1 undersized trout, croakers, 2 baby reds (about 12 inches) and alot of piggie perches. Fun to see newbies get hooked up.
Both days the water was sandy green. Will try again this weekend!
