Info on hunting this area

My wife and I just bought a house outside Kenedy, Tx. I work in Beeville. I have been hunting in west Texas all my life. Does anyone have any info. on hunting in this area. Quality and quantity of deer, where to find lease land, etc... That 6 hour drive out west is getting old. Hope to find something closer to my new home. Any info. will be greatly appreceated.
