figured others would be interested to see a little video or Rock Island Armory's 1911s..im pretty happy with it definetly a nice firearm for the money

shot my 9mm Rock Island Armory 1911 today for the first time, bought it lightly used a few weeks ago..i fired 50 brass fmj rounds(UMC) it ran pretty well, the slide didn't lock back after the last round twice, and i had one round nose dive when i used the 10 round Wilson Combat mag..all in all im pretty happy..gonna work on it a little bit, polish the feed ramp and a few other things..but it seems to be a well made functioning handgun..its hard not to love a 1911, and with it chambered in 9mm i can afford to shoot it more often than my 1911 chambered in .45acp

I was going to ask why the heck you would get a 1911 in pansy 9mm, but you answered the question. Rock Island is good value for the price.

i have two 1911s in 45acp, figured i would get one that shoots the cheaper round so i could afford to shoot my favorite style of handgun more often..
