Good luck adog, it is a hard thing to endure, but completely worth it.
I think I have finally beaten the whole thing. The "flare ups" that I used to experience have almost completely gone away, they only occur now in the most stressful situations. I still haven't had a single pinch of snuff this since January, still can't believe it.

It has now been 11 months and two weeks since I quit snuff. Not a single pinch since January 15, 2012. I can't believe it after 35+ years. My resolution this year is to lose the weight I gained last year, and lets just say I got some work to do. I have already started that trip with my mind made up. Honestly if I can quit, anybody can. Read the whole saga on this thread, I was as hooked and as weak as anybody could be, but somehow I got it done. Wow is all I can say. Got a grandbaby due in April, maybe Pops will be around a few years longer to take her hunting and fishing and riding in the pasture looking at cows and nature in general. Thanks for listening to my story.

Roy.

I don't smoke or dip. Never have. Not sure why i clicked on here and started following your story, but it was cool. Its awesome that you hung it up, and quit. I have a sister who is 33. She started smoking when she was 14. She knows she needs to quit, but hasn't made the effort. God bless you. Keep up the good work.

I am telling you if I can do it anybody can. Chantix is really a life saver and basically the solution to the "Quitting x 10" title to the thread. I had tried everything and thought I was stuck. Found out different, good luck.

Well not snuff related, but I have lost about 7 or 8 lbs in the last couple of weeks so I am on the way to getting that back in order. Got about 20 or so more to go. Feels REALLY good.

Still clean. Absolutely no cravings anymore, don't even think about it. I will say I am somewhat more inclined to "over indulge", I overeat more often now, I eat when I am just finished eating a big meal, I will get a big bag of sunflower seeds and eat the whole bag almost without stopping.

I just recently kinda got over the bouts of "anger" that would consume me. The smallest things would just set me off and i would explode. I ain't no spring chicken and have been dealing with "things" a long time and have learned to cope, but it was way too often that my anger would overcome my sense of better judgement. That is for the most part gone now.

I am SLOWLY losing weight. That has been a huge battle but I am still in the fight.

I will say it again, this is a fight worth winning and I am determined to win. I feel like I have but i am not going to let my guard down. Thanks.
