Pistol Zale inherited from is Grandfather...

Hey Guys

Thought you might like to see what happens to your guns in 50 years...

Zale (my son) inherited a S&W model 10 - from my dad (RIP 2001)

It was the gun he carried as a patrolman in Marshal Tx in the early 60's

My dad switches to a Snubnose .38 when he made detective and carried that till he retired as a DEA agent in the 80's

Zale turned 11 y/o in March and has been wanting to shot "his pistol"...

I guess our grandkids will enjoy our gun as much as we do....lol

So here it is - this was the 2nd shot...

Oh
Does anybody know where I can get some bone or antler grips for this pistol?

Nice gun from your family history teach him the value of what it means and where it started be sure and keep the old grips so you have what it takes to make it original Beau PS from what I have seen you are already doing a good and safe job at that

Jasmillertime -
We live in Pearland
Thanks for the offer - I need to look into how to make grips and possiblly make some wooden ones for the gun...first

would hate to mess up your axis antler - learning how to do it..

I'll keep in touch and may take up up on that offer...

Thanks again

No problem. It was a shed that was given to me. I used part to make a new handle for a knife
