Young buck, take the time to educate yourself and read the contents of the link you posted. It depends on the species and the area. You have to read it real close. If you are going to take the advice of the State then you should also consider the areas where they deem it is safe.

For example, it is now safe to eat spotted sea trout in Galveston Bay including Trinity and East Bay, as long as your not pregnant. But, do not eat a spotted sea trout that is harvested north of Redbluff Point.

Nowhere does it say it is unsafe to eat spotted seatrout from the Galveston Ship Channel (Don't confuse the Galveston Ship channel with the Houston Ship Channel, 2 completely different things).

This is just an example for you, catfish is a total different story.

Good luck.

I was thinking about this. What about all the flood water we had earlier in the year? Most of the trout were pushed down south to east bay, lower Galveston bay, etc. Wouldn't that completely redistribute the fish? So the current population would be completely different then the previous "tested" population? Hmmmm.

i think your going to throw up , there is something wrong , those fish are all flat. must have found them near the sewer plant output at SeaWolf Park.
Everything over there is sick, that is why they used it as a quarenteen station
for so many years. Its not that bad at Zephers reef, fish are not flat there.

that ban has been there all most of our lives. it's to late if you've ever fished anywhere along the gulf coast. from state line to border there are ports and industries dumping and it doesn't say in one place long. FYI!

Carry ON! eat more dioxins! :headknock :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
