I was in the water before daybreak on the Galveston side of the pass. Started off throwing top water with zero luck. Switched to golden bombs. At approximately 645 the bite turned on. I released 2 15 1/4" inch trout and missed another eight or 10 fish. All fish caught in knee deep water. Incoming tide. Very strange bite. The fish were not aggressive. They were picking up the Croker and just swimming off with them. Ended up with the six you see on the stringer. Should've had a limit. No fish or bites after 8am.
Nice report. Interesting tail on the one third from the left. What are water levels like? They were high(er) last weekend than they have been in a while. I think you're bite died off because it was the end of the incoming tide; at least by looking at the NOAA table.
