When is the best time of year to catch catfish? I have been told anytime in spring, but when do they spawn? would they be in the rivers or lakes now? I do my fishing on Texana and the small rivers around there along with some fishing on the Guadalupe. Thanks for any help.
I catch fish all summer that are full of eggs on Conroe. The shallow bite is good right now. My bud caught a 20 lb blue in 3 ft of water last weekend. Good Luck
You should find lots o fcats right now on Texana. Spawn typically is aboaut middle of May to middle of June with a little variation due to temperatures, etc. I perfer yellows April and May, then Sept. and Oct...channels and blues should be good all year, they just move with the food chain.
