POC boat launches

Will be heading to POC this weekend and wanted to know about Froggies. I heard the launch is free but parking is an issue. Is it really free? And what is the parking issues? Any advice on what's catching fish down there right now?

Thanks for the help

Yes, it is really free. As long as you don't mind walking, you can find parking, depends on time of day.

Froggies has tons of parking and the boat ramp is so gentle, shimpboats launch there. Great for bigger boats. Clarks Marina is the worst. Steep slope and cramped space to back a boat. Not mention, people have fallen through their docks, the planks there often grow rotten before they're replaced.

Always launch at Froggie's, I like their ramps and no parking is not an issue unless you require a walker, they've got tons of parking space in the back. Of course now it's on 2cool you'll probably have to park down the street this weekend.

Froggies is free as well as Clark's (if no one is there to take your money). Parking is easier at Clark's.
Froggies has more parking but it can get tight in the back (behind the trailer park) if the parking lot is full and you have a large trailer. Lots of idiots do not park right for others (mostly on the weekends) and you may have a hard time manuevering around the ones that parked bad and then if you're lucky no one will block you in when you are ready to leave. Seen it both ways at Froggies.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. Yes I am familiar with bay system, just never launch the boat in POC. Pretty much always at Charlie's then run out from there.

Since the 60's we always used the Fishing Center. $3 fee. Usually parking is OK during the weekdays.....I don't know about weekends as I only fish POC on weekdays.
