Old cars. They dumped them in lines along the sand bars and beach front.

At one time was a great fish attractor and dune protector....then became a dadgum death trap as you would fall thru the roof and foot would get hung in the steering wheel to drown you.

They have been long gone rusted away for the better part of two decades.....the oak island treasure hunters wouldn't even find anything there.

This. West side near the bulkhead but all are pretty well buried in the sand. Use to be a terrific spot when the car bodies were at least partially above the sand bottom. Had some of my best surf fishing trips there. That structure was sometimes covered up with big Specs. Tried to wade out to the next bar once and got cut up pretty good by that iron. Lucky no infections or problems. It's kind of like the boilers. Use to be great there also, but now pretty well sunk under the sand.
