Curious how you work the DSLs. I'm headed to the Chandeluers soon and will be working them under a popping cork. Any tips on fishing these free line? Just throw and bring back with a steady retrieve? Thanks!

We'll I've hardly ever fished tails, so that doesn't help. Thanks for your reply though!

I'd throw a twitch in there after a couple cranks. Vary your retrieve if you get no bites after a dozen casts...twitch more/less or reel slower/faster. If somebody is catching fish next to you, watch how they are working their lure.

Water 2' or less recommend 1/16oz or lighter. 3-4' of water 1/8oz jig head and 6' or greater 1/4oz.

All of the above. The thing about the DSL (at least to me) is they have a long skinny tail with a paddle on the end and it doesn't take much for the tail to "swim." They'd probably do well under a popping work, but if wanting some just swim baits to use on a straight reel, I'd look at cheaper ones too. Lots of good swim baits out there that are cheaper and work fine to just reel and bounce.
