Question Need Rod Reviews / Suggestions

I recently bought a Stradic Ci4 2500 FB and I'm planning to use it mainly for working soft plastics. I'm leaning towards these two rods pictured below, but I am also open to suggestions. Basically I want Medium/Light power and Moderate to Moderate/Fast action. My pet peeve is upside down reel seats. I don't understand why some rod builders insist on designing rods where your hand is around the threads instead of the grip. I plan to wait until Academy has a Rod Riot to buy (they still have those, right?) so I'm looking at paying about $80. Please give me your personal reviews of these products and feel free to suggest other comparable rods that meet my criteria. And don't forget to vote in the poll. Thanks in advance!

st croix premier. u can find them around 100 if u look hard enough. great budget rods. shimano crucial rods also fall into that category.

No Matt. I'm just saying I like the threaded part of the reel seat ahead of the reel, not behind it where I hold the rod.

Forward grips are just extra weight on an inshore rod imho. Offshore you need them.

Actually both of these above are correct to me. See below for what I consider an upside down reel seat.

Are you just messing with me or is it really that hard to understand what I'm saying?

LOL! Not messing with you, I have never seen a spinning reel with threads on the bottom handle like the picture you just showed. That is nuts!

Looking at post #3 I'd say you own at least 3 rods built this way.

BTW, what is that 1st rod in post #6?
