Saturday evening I took my family fishing and it was fine. Of course we only got knee deep but it wasn't bad at all. Like others have posted on this topic, the wind is the biggest factor with getting cold while wet wading this time of the year. Once you are in the water a few minutes your body will adjust and you'll be fine. It will mostly depend on if you are cold natured or not. My $0.02

(Water Temp + Air Temp) > 155

Generally speaking, 155 is my personal ballpark number to begin wet wading comfortably.

It's been hovering in that zone for the past few weeks as the water temp has reached the mid-to-upper 70's in the Galveston bays and the daytime temps in the upper 70's/low 80's.
