Question for Chandeleur fishermen

Wanting to go in October. I have always tried to schedule my fishing trips around days with the most tidal movement. Those always seem to be more productive. Do y'all do the same when planning a trip to the Islands? thanks.

I fished the Chandeleurs for the first time last October and I would say yes to the tidal movement. That's one thing I noticed when we weren't catching was the tide wasn't moving. We found a ton of bull reds one morning on the south end of an island and the current was moving across the sand bar. We went back that evening with a few more guys hoping to get in on the action and it didn't happen. But also I would call or email your charter and ask them. I'm sure they would be glad to share their opinion.
