Just to clear up a few things....we have to have a 6 pack min license.....which is around $2300 when I took my class. Not to mention the twic card, which we pay for, then the drug test, another expense, then the health vision exam, another expense. I'm a full time guide fishing and hunting. Each year, when yall (op) buy your license, super combo is what, $68 I think....mine is around $380 for all of the licenses I have to carry.

We promote catch and release, cooler shots or stringer shots are not the normal for us, and we also use lures (which I provide and buy).....it's a fun way to make a living and 4 years later, I'm still in the game and plan to be for a long time.

Don't get me started on commercial guide insurance, boat cost, fuel, oil.....all part of it.

Best decision of my life was to stay away from corporate world after 16 years in a office.

This has not become a job because I love what I do and love meeting new clients and a lot of whom have become great friends.

See yall on Baffin!

Should there also be limited entry for pest control services, plumbers, septic pumpers, electricians, HVAC services etc. ? These all require commercial licensing.
... you are being reported to the big letter bank for being overdrawn ... and I see empathy classes in your future if no downsizing occurs ...

I still don't understand why someone deciding to guide is ruining it for everyone else. If anything, more guides on the water, helps other people get access to good fishing areas.

Here's a question for you. Do you have any "secret spots" that no one else knows about?

Out if curiosity, do part time guides have the right to block the boat ramp, park their boat in front of the cleaning table, and claim exclusive spots on the Bay, or can only full them guides do this?

that is the dumbest logic i have ever read, the market will dictate how many service providers are active and survive. a fishing guide takes from the public domain and profits. the guides harvest 75% more than the average grandpa taking his kiddos fishing. i think its a great idea to drop the bags for guides and lower the limit to 5. why do you think that is, because proved the numbers were down.

the point is that guides tend to harvest substantially more game than most common folks....
