Not sure what you use to catch them but we use plain ol perch traps and catch the snot out of them.

I catch them on tiny hooks and little strips of squid folded over as many times as I can on the hook. You don't want any squid dangling or you will just get skunked. Keep the line taught and off the bottom by just a few inches. Watch out for those hardheads.
