Can the oxygen bottle be mounted sideways

Stupid question can O2 bottles be mounted on its side in the boat.

Yes, think about how many that have never permanently mounted theirs. They typically set on their side.

Yes, most ice chest / live-well conversions are rigged that way with them on the side.

yes, about every bay boat i have seen as well as mine has the bottle side mounted

word of advice be sure to secure the bottle or mount is an area that gives it free motion 360 degrees around....if the bottle rotates and uses the gauge/regulator to hold it steady it will break after one good wave
