Red tail republic vs st croix avid x

Howdy,
I was looking at getting a new inshore rod for reds and trout and stumbled upon redtail republic rods. I can't make my mind up on want to get so I thought I'd ask y'all. Have any of y'all have redtail republic rods or st croix avid x rods and what did y'all think of them. Also is there any other rods I should be looking at? Thanks.

I am a huge fan of St. Croix rods. Are you looking at spinning or casting rods?

Before you spend a lot of $$ I suggest you look at the St Croix Triumph series. I have been using them for years and I love them. They are around $80 and I prefer them over the more expensive rods Ive owned. Don't let the price fool you, its a fantastic rod in my opinion.

Red tail rods are hand made in Corpus Christi using the best components so that it's super light and sensitive. St Croix blanks are the best in the business but I've never been a fan of the guides they use or the handle setup on the ST Croix built rods. If it were me, I'd go with the red tail rods, the owner Nino is a good friend and his stuff is top notch and he can custom make one to your exact needs
