Pulled up to the ramp around 9 and was in East Matagorda close to 9:30. Winds were light and the water was pretty green. As soon as we entered the bay, we spotted the birds. We spent the whole morning drifting through birds catching specks, sand trout, and reds. Never went west of the tripod. The wind ended up picking up a bit, but the birds never left and the water stayed green. Ended up with 10 trout, 1 fat sandy, and a slot red. Everything was caught on Chickenboy chicken on a chain shrimp under a popping cork. Great day to be out on the water.
