Congratulations on a Great day of fishing.
I love it when a plan comes together.
When it is SE-10 To 20 one day then 15 to dead calm the next and north 20 to 30 to finish it off you know your in Baffin.
You fish hard for that one bite and just have a good time!!!

Funny.. that's exactly what it was.. 20 from the east and rain the day before.. dead calm then next day.. (I hate dead calm, give me the wind, i'll take it any day over the dead calm)... then switched to north north east. NNE started at 20, then later went to 30+.. you know it's blowing when your rod starts getting pushed and it's hard to feel the fish. LOL.. Still caught some fish during that though. Not sure if that's just Baffin.. the whole Gulf Coast probably.. it IS Texas Ya'll.

You were right to cancel your scouting run on Friday, Tobin. Baffin Bay is no joke in a storm. I had to cross it on my way back from an overnight trip to the Land Cut when a storm came up right as I entered Baffin. Swells went from 1 Ft to 4 Ft before I made it across the bay. My windshield snapped on that trip as I was going over a 4 footer. The two guys with me were ducking for cover around the console and I had no grab bar. It was a scary run to say the least and I've never been happier to see the King Ranch shoreline than I was that day.

Great report and nice catch brother!
