The only way water can get into pond is from us pumping it in via our well or the actual rain that falls from the sky. No runoff can get into pond as we built the levee up over 4ft. We have an 8" overflow structure in place as well that was put in about a week ago. We filled the pond up over 2 years ago and with all the rain we have received since then it has never come out of it's banks. Now that we have the overflow in we can drop the water level anywhere from 6"-2' if a hurricane is coming. I'm not going to say never, but if it floods the lodge we'll have much bigger problems to worry about, such as I hope someone in the area has built Ark.
