Thirty trout in Florida today
Fished the grassflats in Florida today with Buzz Brown from Corpus from way back when. Still slinging his red Ambassadeur reel. We got socked in by fog at mid-day and the trout hit two at a time in subdued lighting, mostly just undersized fish by an inch. Buzz landed this 23-incher and was pretty happy with that. Then I had to run the jonboat along 12 miles of shoreline in thick fog; good thing it was high tide, otherwise we would be sleeping out there in the boat right now. What! Got quite a sunburn in the fog, should have worn sun screen and gloves. At least the wind was SE at 6 knots, the water clear.
