Baffin & CDL Rookie

Took my buddy from AR on his rookie wading trip in Baffin on a high pressure/slow bite day. He caught big trout and flounder of the day on Controlled Descent Lures when the other 3 of us struggled. He was casting and winding with a varied retrieve speed. Hate to say it but I got schooled by the rookie that day!

Thanks for the report!

The CDL Paddle Shad is very easy to use as this report proves. Cast, reel, pause, reel, pause. Very simple, and easy on the arms and wrist. Since you can Controlled the Descent and make is sink slower than other soft plastics you can fish it a lot slower and still keep it in the strike zone which can be the dirfference on finicky fish.

My Garmin was reading the water temps in the low to mid 60's when I went Friday.
