SS Jetty 1/5/17
Twelve hour grind sunrise to sundown. As of last week I cooked the last of the summer trout so there's no more fish in the freezer. Today's intention was a meat haul. With a pint of shrimp I managed about ten sheepies but only three of em keep. Caught the first two big sheeps at day break back to back. Total of four flounder but only one keep, the other three measured 13 3/4"! Also caught a healthy 16" red, was hoping for a trout just to say I caught a winter slam. Lost a few brute sheep and flounder that just didn't quite hookup. End of the day I watched a two and a half foot gar walk half the jetty tight up against the rocks just below the surface, cool scene. Fun and exhausting day on the ole granite rocks.
