I just thought it was funny he went to Buffalo to compete as a back-up.. When the guy who Houston drafted mistakenly instead of Vince, agreed to a contract with the same team 2 months ago.
One guy I like Christ in the town, and the other is back-page news. Just hoping to put all the '06 draft hoopla to rest.

Youre a smart person and I know you can read and interpret. Go look again and read it thoroughly this time.

I'll accept your apology when you get back

You're reaching to put me in a bad light and elevate your own misrepresentation of my original statement by playing semantics with me.

Not this time Ace. I aint buying what youre selling. Your disgust for all things VY has your perspective jacked up and you are the one killing me here.

I'm not putting VY in the same category...... thats how the sentence started anf I believe you know what those words mean. Stop all the subterfuge and petty ****.

I know he is wasting his talent now in the NFL. I'm tired of using his record as my only leg to stand on any kind of VY argument. I'm starting to see the light! Still, he is a hot topic on this board and radio station in the Houston area. Now that I've agreed with most that he is wasting his talent, I'll ask: Who would you have wanted down the stretch last season when Shaub went down? We had a chance to get him as a back up and we went with a rookie QB! I know it would stir up the locker room and fan base but still!! If we could have ONE CHANCE, just ONE CHANCE to go back, VY would have electrified this city in the playoffs and maybe the Superbowl!!!!?\../\../

There are alot of smart football fans on this board. I want an honest answer to my ? Who is the last team we want to face in the playoffs this year? You know if it comes down to Buffalo, every QB they have will be hurt except VY. That sick feeling in your stomach if we play them in the playoffs, is what I wish the Texans had!!

That's the thing... Vick got hurt last year and Philly is just as if not more talented (Not saying they're better) than Houston. I mean DeSean Jackson and LeSean McCoy are weapons. VY struggled and threw interceptions with his "given opportunity" last season.
Would I have rather have Yates down the stretch? I'm not sure, I would probably rather have an experienced qb. However, I think Yates thrown into that situation will accelerate his devolopment, and I believe he will one day be the starter for this team. He showed me enough as a rookie to handle big situatioins just needs to learn a lot more.

look at the facts.. VY has a lower QB rating and lower pass completion % and yards per game then that rookie QB.. TJ Yates has been more productive then VY...

Vince Young is another Andre Ware. Both good collegiate QB's but just can't seem to make it work in the NFL.

VY always has been an extremely talented player. He short circuited his career with immaturity and was not helped by the fact that his coach did not want him or believe in him. Starting somewhere else might have brought a different result. Judging by his immaturity, perhaps not. I do not believe the story on him is finished yet. I hope he turns it around and believe he will. I am just very happy that he will not do so in a Titans uniform.
