Just returned from a month at our place in north Arkansas. Fishing was good with lots of fish landed. We fished the Norfork, White and Spring rivers this trip. The Eleven Point and North Fork of the White in southern Missouri were both pretty much blown out from recent rain events.
There were some great caddis hatches on the Norfork and White and we had good topwater action with an Elk Hair Caddis dry. Also had good results swinging a green butt soft hackle. When there were no hatches going on egg patterns and zebra midges were the ticket.
We had 3 different days where we landed the Ozark slam (rainbow, brown, cutthroat and brook). No trophies this trip but lots of fun.
