Bad Report

I guess a bad report tells everyone as much as a good one. A buddy and I had a 2 day adventure in christmas/bastrop/SLP. Didn't hook up with anything except a 14" sand trout on day 1 and a stingray and huge croaker on day 2. Fished croaker on day 2 which didn't yield anything. The 2 aquatic species caught were about 3.5' deep on mixed shell. We didn't really see anyone pulling in any decent amount of fish. Muddy water with 4-8" visibility.

Hopefully someone else was able to do some good. Any day out on the water is a blessing though.

Tight lines.

2mo

Bad report! Hell at least you got to go fishing and caught one or two fish, much better than staying at home!

I've thought about this before and I think if every trip was a "catch 'em every cast" event, it might get a bit boring. But, if you hunt a little and finally find them, it's a lot more rewarding. Why do we fish? It's because there is something in our genetics that urge us to do so. Humans are hunter/gatherers. It's our instinct to do so. The memories of those trips that are not so good will be erased by the days when it is "on like donkey kong".
