East bay ???

Ok I know about Hanna's reef, and the pvc pipes. East of there is a large diameter pipe, maybe and old flare sticking out of the water. There were 28 boats this morning fishing this area. The water over there is 7-8' deep. My question is does this area have a specific name ?

CCA reef is right there, east of Hannah's, North of the tide gauge and little Hannahs. Some jackleg pulled up 3 of the 4 corners marking the reef.

Could be the tide gauge you are talking about... There used to be a nice trough that ran through there years ago... haven't fished the area in years, but if it's still there, a good strong tide change in either direction, fish will hold over or in that trough...

But more likely like said above... somebody stopped there and maybe caught a fish... the other boats saw the dip net and swarmed the spot...

What has always amazed me is the number of fish taken from that small area of the bay system year after year and still it holds good numbers of solid trout!! We are truly blessed to have such a fertile/abundant fishery!
