How are conditions at PINS?

I'm planning to take my son camping down at PINS this coming weekend. It's been a few years since I've been down there last. I was planning on taking my wife's Subaru Outback, and was hoping someone could tell me how are the beach conditions for driving? Can I get down pretty far on the beach? I was also wondering if there any mullet in the surf right now or do I need to bring plenty of bait? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Horrible, bull sharks, blacktips an bull reds being caught pretty regular. Also some decent catches of surf trout.

Might keep an eye on this, it could push high tides to the dunes.
