Pink banana squash

This is the first one I've kept, gave three away and still have ample to eat and share. One person stated he baked it and it was much like yellow straight neck squash.

Baked one today 350 for 50 minutes. The half weighed 12#. The finished product was much like sweet potato in taste and texture. Would make a great pie or soup.

Interesting and impressive!. I showed seed catalog pic / info of them to Mrs. Joe, she informed we didn't need any of those with all the other "trial" stuff I have planted. (In all capital letters!). Wait till next year!

Give them a lot of room they spread out to 20+'. One vine might feed the entire neighborhood.

Wow! You must have a big family. Never heard or seen one. How do they taste? By the looks I'd say just like straight or crook neck squash. If it doesn't get the bugs maybe I'll just plant one plant and I'll be good to go.

Yep, I may accidentally slip a pack of seed in next order. After all, generally easier to get forgiven than permission. Just looking at the pics would bet that they could be used for pies, etc. just like cushaws or punkins.
