Has anyone been to Ken "The Dauber" Pridgeon's Portrait Of A Warrior Memorial Art Gallery, in Baytown? My brother's son was the first veteran that Ken memorialized through his wonderful labor of love.

About the Gallery

The Portrait Of A Warrior Memorial Art Gallery, in Baytown, Texas was formed to honor those fallen military personnel from Texas that served in Iraq and Afghanistan. These soldiers are memorialized in art, with portraits and stories of each fallen soldier displayed in the gallery. Each family receives, at no charge, a copy of the portrait. The gallery is open seven (7) days a week to the public. Future plans include displays of military uniforms, military history regarding the conflicts, and at some point purchasing a much larger building to accommodate the growing collection of portraits, as the Fallen Soldiers numbers keep growing. The Gallery has received national attention, and with future plans, will be an international destination for those that wish to honor these brave men and women.

He attended and was painting at the Freedom Festival/Homes For Our Troops Sporting Clays Tournament last year at American Shooting Centers. Very talented artist and I am sure the loved ones of those he painted are very grateful. Unfortunately That event was cancelled this year when they lost their main sponsor. Will miss seeing him this year.

Have been friends with Ken for 40+ years. Not only is Ken a fantastic artist he is quite a hunmanitrian as well. Every portrait is copied and the family of the person is presented the copy framed without cost. His mission is to paint a portrait of each KIA in Afgan. and Iraq that was from Texas. He has painted over 70 so far. In addition the gallery has a wall of photos of all KIA from Texas in these 2 conflicts. Ken knows the story behind each of his "Boys" and will tour you through if you visit. Make time to visit if at all possible. It is worth the drive and time.
