Good weekend in Spicewood-Marble Falls

Went up to the place and cleaned, mowed, shredded, weedeated, got seadoos and lawnmower running, bull nettles sprayed and other fun things done.

High point was fishing every morning in the Colorado such as it is up 60 miles from the Lake Travis Dam. I have not bass fished much in the last 10 years and never got a bass over 6 1/2 pounds until Sunday.

Worm into a deep spot around a collapsed cliff and thought it was hung till the line eased off. Though it was a big cat for the first minute but after being pulled around I realize it was a large bass when it finally came to the surface Measured the length 23+ and the chart puts it at 7.5 to 8 lbs. By far the best bass that I have ever caught and on 8 lb BG too.

Quick measurement, a kiss, and eased her back into the Colorado.
