beating the heat...

finally got around to installing an AC in my garage.

insulating will be the next step, but at least I can cool it down a bit while I'm working on that.

Ya big Sissy !!!!

j/k... I succumbed to the heat after my first summer in the garage/shop and installed a mini split AC/heat unit too.. Production probably went up 500 %. Mine wuz already sheet rocked so insulation wasn't an option...but the little unit will take it from 100 down to 70 in about an hour anyways...

Congrats.....

Pleasure to see ya and get to visit a little Saturday...

Only way to go, I can get my little shop down in the 60's in the heat of summer.
If I were you I would get a peice of filter media and cover the entire intake and duct tape it securley all around the edges. When it gets full of dust just take a shop vac and suck it all off.

Tortuga - thanks for the box, and the visit - good to see you too.

BY - a few weeks ago I picked up a large air filtration unit - I'm hoping that will cut down tremendously on the amount of dust in the garage. I just have to remember to turn it on.

OK, now you got me to start thinking. My garage is uninsulated or finished at all. Not sure it is doable, but maybe so!

How many btu's is that? We have a oversized 1 car garage and I'm thinking about one of those 7.5 heat/air combos.
