The good, The bad, and the " O no! "

Well thought I would take a few minutes to talk about my April 2012. This has been the best April I can remember, based on my log books.
On the good side.
The weather has been awsome, low winds, good temperatures, and enough rain to insure a good shrimp crop. The fish we have caught this month have been very fat with eggs. This makes for very heavy trout and great expectiation for years to come. As for me and my crew we have released as many of these big girls as we could. We have decided to release trout 22" and over hopeing to keep these genes for the future.

On the Bad
The rains we have been gettin have been good ones. This has left a layer of fresh water through out the bays I have fished. I feel this has dampend the top water bite. It has also left the bay water with poor visibility. Usally 1 foot or less.
Yesterday we fished a mid bay reef with 12 boats on it. It was a Tuesday. Don't you people have jobs(LOL). I must say that most boats were maintaining a respectable distance and using trolling motor to not spook the fish.

On the O no!
For me personally it has been an expensive month. I have lost a wading tackle box with an estimated $80 bucks worth of tackle, a boga grip, $120.00. And yesterday I lost a $240 pair of Costa sunglasses. I hope this bad luck ends soon, don't know how much I can afford.
