There are still some fat ones out there
I took some convincing but I managed to talk Harry into going out today.
It was Hop's second trip in a month. The man's been real busy with selling his house and a new baby.
We tried tops for most of the morning but only managed 2 blow ups.
We switched to tails and got bit a few times.
There wasn't a continuous bite but we pecked out some nice fish.
We only had one over 25. I caught her on a pink zoom and was 7.5. lbs and 26".
I had 1-6.5lb that went 24.5", 1-6lb that went 25", a 23" & a 21".
I also boated 2 reds and a big ugly.
Hop caught 1-6lb that went 24.5", a 20" flounder and 2 dinks.
Harry caught 1 6lb that went 24.5" and 2 dinks.
Harry did get to net a lot of fish today.
We stayed in the boat all day and caught them at several locations on tails worked slow. The water was muddy-maybe 1' visibility.
They hit pink, fire tiger & chicken.
We called it a day at 1:00.
We only kept the smaller fish. We've agreed to try and not keep anything over 22 unless the wife's are adamant we keep.
We did a lot of releasing today.
