East Bay 19Apr12
My dad, a friend and I decided that yesterday was going to be our only shot at decent fishing weather for the remainder of the week; so we ventured out to East Bay. We started the morning at the Causeway throwing plastics, and caught two trout on Limetruese SWA.
We left and got some shrimp from GYB and headed towards Smiths point. We made a couple drifts across the reef with shrimp and ever color plastic under the sun to no avail. We thought that we should check the salinity there and found the water to be fresher than Ozarka. Next we made a run over to South shoreline and started drifting again. Not long after getting there, my friend caught a trout on a pink Maniac. After that, the rest of the fish where caught on shrimp.
It turned out to be a beautiful day on the water, and good quality time spent with my Dad and friend.
In going along with the theme of the week, we threw all of the trout back...into the freezer.
