Spend the morning with your family fishing and also learning more of what makes the experience enjoyable! Fishing's Future Family Fish Camp will help a junior angler feel comfortable with knots, measuring a fish, casting, and landing a fish. Creekwood Pond is well known for great blue gill and catfish action and has plenty of lurking lunker bass capable of peeling drag and bringing excited screams for a youngster. All fishing gear and snacks will be provided and all for FREE. Kids learning about fishing with some Master Anglers from Fishing's Future and some tournament anglers from the Sam Houston State Fishing Team. Again this Family Fish Camp is open and FREE to the public but registration must be completed through our on-line sign up page. Each Jr. Angler participant, ages 6-16, must be accompanied by an adult. The day begins at 9:00 with 5 different instructional stations. Snacks and water will be provided and all participants will participate in a litter clean up and an environmental responsibility "Leave-no-Trace" presentation. The rest of the afternoon will be spent fishing and taking photos. Everything you will need is furnished including bait so come prepares to catch fish and have a good time.
