HELP, 07 Harley problems.

I have an 07 fatboy, it started dying on me while riding around town, if I take off on a trip it doesnt die, only when riding around town, it shouldnt be a heat problem right now, no codes will flash, no lights come on, it dies when I come to stop and try to idle, it always starts right up after it dies, i'm stumped, any suggestions before I take it to the dealer ???

Do you have an aftermarket fuel management system like a PCIII installed? I have heard of those sometimes causing problems you mentioned.

No sir all stock except exhaust which was HD installed and tuned afterwards in 07.

Try seafoam the fuel has been a issue recently, try high volume gas stations,their premium fuel seams to sell faster than the mom and pop stores . Hope this helps.

1. Spark Plugs
2. Air Filter
3. Throttle Body rubber gaskets
4. Cracked fuel line in gas tank.
5. Bad fuel pump.

It sounds to me like you may have a cracked rubber intake gasket coming out of your throttle body. If the air / fuel ratio is not right, it aint gonna idle right, and will die at a stop sign, etc.

leave the gas cap off and see if that works.
could be a clogged vent.

I'd be looking for a vacume leak around the intake boots between the heads and throttle body.

Thanks for the replies, it fixed itself, some a$$h-l- ran into it and knocked it over in a parking lot a couple weeks ago, havent had a problem since, strange....
