Texasflag4 Seeing Red-Sabine Lake

Saturday 7-24-10 started off slow with some topwater action on the flats.Worked Louisiana shore line - small flounders.Worked back up the Sabine River with little success.About noon we caught a 27" Red sight casting against the bank in inches of water.Afternoon we were in the middle of Sabine Lake getting blow ups on topwater lures.First it was Ladyfish, then Specks, then the Reds moved in and took over. They were swimming side by side two and three together. One big Redfish jumped clear out of the water over the one I had hooked.Another Red flattend out all the treble hooks on my Topdog. We lost track of how many blow ups, lost fish, and throw backs. We ended up keeping 5 bigger Reds, and 7 trout (several 22"-23"). We had a very exciting afternoon! We also caught several big Gafftops on topwaters ???
